3 Use a white gel pen to highlight the upper edges and add small circles. FOLD A QUICK ACCORDION BORDER The die cut borders on this page brought the layout together so quickly that I was able to take the time to create my own vertical border to separate the photos from the journaling. This accordion-folded border was easy and fun to make. It added texture and interest to the otherwise one-dimensional layout. Assembling the border before adhering it to the page made the construction easy because I could hold it in my hands while I worked.
Make the most of that stack of leftovers by creating an oversized embellishment like this colorful egg. Draw your shape on a piece of white cardstock and trace it with a black pen so the shape can be seen through the back side of the paper. I edged this brightly colored egg with white paint to help it stand out from the background. Try this simple technique with any shape, theme or color scheme.
