This is most commonly where a strategic intelligence function will sit, ideally reporting to the CSO directly. Under this model, much of the operational level of security is carried out by security teams belonging to business divisions/legal entities/other subordinate structures, with delivery of guards and so on often being delegated and subcontracted.
